What do Executive Search Firms charge for services?
Companies offering executive search solutions typically operate on a retained basis, whereby they charge a percentage of the placed candidate’s salary for their services. The fee is generally split into three payments, the first on engagement, the second at the interview stage, and the third on completion.
Tipping Point Global Executive Search firm’s retained search fees are typically between 25% and 35% of the total first year’s annual compensation paid to the candidate. A third of the fee is due on engagement, a third on commencement of client interviews, with the residual fee payable on offer acceptance.

While both Recruitment Agencies and Executive Search Firms fill roles for clients, there is a vast difference in the services they offer. The table below highlights some of the main differences.
